what spoke to me

There are so many different things that can inspire us.  I saw this older woman in a magazine yesterday and something about her spoke to me.  I've never really been afraid of growing old because I think we only learn as we grow.  Through experience we become who we are.  This women who I don't even know her name says, beauty is not everything, being old doesn't mean you can't be stunning and make-up is not necessary for looks.  I also fond this garden photo a couple pages towards the back.  I just wanted to share it with you.  Have a great day and let something...anything spark your creativity.  Kimberly

my inspiration lately

just got this book in the mail...

It's the new year and officially our new blog has begun!  I am so excited to start sharing more and more things that inspire me.  Whether it's something as small as a leaf to a famous masterpiece.  The point is to get "us" all to create.  I think everyone has a creative side.

I wanted to share the first photo with you because it reminds me of Kandyce I think because of the bright colors the painter choose.  I love it's spontaneity and zest.  It's a great piece to inspire.

The next photo shows a picture I took with my iphone of the little animals I made my little niece Sierra.  It was so fun to make them and I was surprised they turned out looking like anything.

Lately my inspiration has been leather.   I love leather purses, pouches, clutches...I just adore them.  I think this leather obsession started when I lived in Italy in 07'.  Or maybe it was before I don't really recall when it started.  I love how versatile each piece can be and how leather seems to never get old but look better over time.  Anyway I just bought my first tool and book.  I am ready to learn and create.  Wish me luck!!!
