Taking a break.

So, as Lindsay and Kim know I am not a big, big painter. What I mean by that is I don't paint large pieces. Fear grips me and the white space is too overwhelming. Last night I started a piece and feel as if it has been ruined this morning with the wrong color choices and I feel deflated. However, this large piece inspired a small striped piece, so I can feel glad that something came of it.

I cling to the advice "YOU MUST CREATE" keep going even if it gets hard, push through. So what if the piece ends up in the garbage, practice makes perfect!

For all you creatives that stuggle... pray, go for it, and have no fear!

Here's a pic of the striped piece inspired by the bigger "ruined" piece coupled with a print.

  1. You inspire me. And I agree the only way to get better is to push yourself. I struggle with that myself with the horses that I have been doing. Make the time and push. Something will always come out of it. Good or bad, learn!
